© Sanford Radom, M.D. While the path ahead can feel monumental, asking for guidance can help.
1.  I received radiation treatments for prostate cancer four years ago and have had no significant side effects. Last weekend I had bright red blood in my urine. What could be causing the bleeding?

2.  What is involved in beginning hormonal therapy for prostate cancer?

3.  I am taking tamsulosin (Flomax), and it does seem to be helping with frequent urination during the day. However, I am still having problems with incontinence at night. It happens two or three times per week on an irregular basis. I cannot determine a pattern other than it seems to occur when I wake up with an erection. I don't drink anything after dinner and retire about 10 p.m. I am totally unaware that this is happening. I just wake up and I am wet. I don't know if I am just “leaking” at night or if it is a case of full-blown urination. Sometimes I am wetter than others. As you can imagine, this is quite depressing and demoralizing. What are your thoughts?

4.  My prostate biopsy results showed no cancer but there was high-grade PIN. What does this mean for me?

5.  The results of my prostate biopsy showed only inflammation in my prostate. Is there anything I should be doing to treat the chronic inflammation?
