URF President Anthony F. Sansone, Sr. Receives Prestigious Entrepreneurial Award

On June 20, URF Board president Anthony F. Sansone, Sr. was presented with the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Ernst and Young (EY) Entrepreneur Of The YearTM Award in the Central Midwest ceremony. The award recognized Mr. Sansone as an industry leader and acknowledged his extraordinary entrepreneurial achievements, leadership and vision.

Mr. Sansone is CEO and Chairman of the Board of the Sansone Group. He established the Sansone Group nearly 60 years ago and has grown the business into a nationally recognized commercial real estate firm. At the same time, he raised eight children with his wife, Mary Anne. Four of their eight children are currently involved in the Sansone Group.

Mr. Sansone received the award at a black tie gala in Overland Park, Kansas. In a video produced for the event, his family and colleagues spoke of his entrepreneurial spirit, and Mr. Sansone said, “With an education, and hard work, you can be or do whatever you want to do.”

The EY Entrepreneur Of The Year™ is the world’s most prestigious business award for entrepreneurs.
